Imagine a deck and verandah area at your house that would virtually reach into the trees and provide spectacular views of the coastline. A customer of Craig Arthur’s, owner of Outside Concepts Southern Branch, had that very dream but it took some special planning and building to make the dream a reality.
Because of the size of the verandah, and the fact that it would be over 8 metres high at the furthermost point from the house, larger than normal 100 X 100 X 6 mm steel posts were required to support the structure. The decking, timber frame and roof were then erected, creating a stunning outdoor entertainment area for the family and a place to take in the beautiful views of the Adelaide coastline.
The project also included a roof that slopes up from the house to enhance the views and a glass balustrade for safety.
The final result is a beautiful outside entertainment area that the family will use all-year-round. With views like this, who could blame them!
