One of the key things that sets Outside Concepts apart from our competitors is that we customise our outside structures and outdoor projects to perfectly suit the customer’s needs, and that’s certainly the case with our outdoor blinds. While some outdoor blind designs and installs are relatively standard, if you’ve a situation that’s a little out of the ordinary, don’t fear, we can find the solution.
Take the case of this set of outdoor blinds designed and installed by our Southern Branch in Adelaide. The homeowners wanted outdoor blinds that would protect them from the sun, wind and rain, but the triangle shape at the top of the verandah, which had been built previously by Craig and his team from Southern, presented a challenge.
One option was to install a permanent infill panel to close off the triangle and provide support for the blind underneath, but this was ruled out as it would have closed off the verandah and cut out some of the light. So, to complement the open nature of the verandah, a shade blind was installed instead without any channels or fixing to help reduce the cost. The Adelaide outdoor blind was then installed underneath this, fixed to the posts of the verandah by hooks. It was installed on the outside of the verandah so that there are no gaps on the sides for the elements to leak through.
As with all outdoor blinds, the homeowners had a variety of opening systems to choose from and they chose the hand operated option. This enables the blind to be easily opened and closed a bit like a Holland blind on the inside of a home.
Another successful open and shut case by Outside Concepts!
As well as finding solutions to challenges that would have some installers scratching their heads, the other good thing about using Outside Concepts for your Adelaide outdoor blinds is that the process doesn’t start with a flashy salesman who’s more concerned about his commission than the outcome.
In the case of our Southern Branch in Adelaide, when you organise a no-obligation discussion and quote, it will be the branch owner, Craig Arthur, who meets with you. He’ll take a look at your situation, provide advice and ideas, explain the different options and help you decide what’s best for you.
When designing and installing outdoor blinds, he can show you the range of different fabrics available, fabric colours and operating systems. And, as the project on this page clearly demonstrates, he can work out the best solution for all types of challenges.
Then, when you accept the quote, Craig and his son will be the ones that come around to complete the install. The same people that do the sales and quotes actually doing the installation – you don’t see that every day!
