My name is Ron Matz, owner of the North Eastern branch of Outside Concepts. My branch covers all northern and eastern suburbs of Melbourne, including Kew in the inner east, Templestowe in the north, Ferntree Gully in the outer east and all suburbs surrounding and in between.
I’ve worked in the building and manufacturing industry for many years. Before I joined Outside Concepts, I worked in a variety of roles, predominantly in management positions. But I love the practical side of the Outside Concepts business, particularly designing structures for clients and picking up the tools and building at every opportunity. That’s what gives me the greatest satisfaction in my job.
I take great pleasure in working with my clients to deliver the project they have dreamt about, whether it’s a simple deck or flat-roofed carport, or a more complex structure such as a second-storey deck or fire shelter (yes, I’ve even built one of those!). Being able to do this from start to finish and seeing the happiness on people’s faces keeps driving me every day.
Carports, patios, pergolas, verandahs and decks are our bread and butter and my approach to all of them is quite simple – I look at each job as if I was building the structure for myself and had to use it every day. That’s why quality workmanship, quality materials, good project management and a focus on customer satisfaction are so important to me.
