Moonee Ponds carport
The carport pictured in this post is for a home in the Melbourne suburb of Moonee Ponds. The homeowners wanted a carport that could fit not 1, not 2, but 3 cars. Plus a caravan.
No ordinary carport was going to do the job, particularly to suit the length and the height of the caravan. To fit the requirements, a carport with 3.2 metres clearance was designed.
It was decided to build the Moonee Ponds carport with a steel frame and metal roofing, to provide a low-maintenance structure that will last as long as the home it sits beside. The colour chosen was Woodland Grey to compliment the colours in the home and also the fencing.

While for these homeowners, the caravan and the number of vehicles drove the customisations, for another homeowner it might be a boat or campervan. However, it could also be the style of the carport, the materials, the colours or the features that dictate the customisations.
