Sometimes it’s imperative that an outdoor addition to your house is seamless in style and quality. If your house has a tiled roof, then your new double carport from Outside Concepts Kenmore should have one too!
The owners of this two-storey home in The Gap wanted a double carport which enhanced the existing architecture of their home. Outside Concepts designed their gabled carport with the same roof pitch as the house and duplicated the panelling above the house windows with the gable infill panelling. The carport post proportions and colour were matched to those used on the verandah and patio.
However, the true mark of quality in this project is the addition of the tiled roof. It gives the carport visual presence and matches the scale and proportion perfectly so that the new carport actually enhances the existing house. Second-hand terracotta concrete tiles were sourced since Monier no longer make the exact ‘Continental’ tile used on the house. The tiles were professionally cleaned and resprayed to match those on the newly renovated main roof. While finding matching materials can sometimes be difficult, it was the single most important feature in this Outside Concepts carport addition. Without the tiled roof this carport would have stuck out like a sore thumb! Outside Concepts Kenmore knew the importance of this kind of architectural detail in achieving a harmonious presentation of old with new.
